Purpose

The purpose of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Training Program is to provide an opportunity to intervene with identified soldiers who have exhibited high risk substance abuse behaviors through education and awareness activities.

Objectives

• To increase participants' factual knowledge about substance abuse.
• To educate participants about impaired driving.
• To understand the negative impacts of one's substance abuse on those around him/her.
• To reduce the potential for high risk behaviors through enhancement and strengthening of individual life skills.
